They Offer a New Class To Provide Insider Information on Writing a Spiritual Book Proposal THAT SELLS!

YES, there is much information available on book proposals, but here is the challenge: If you search for books to teach you how to write a proposal, you’ll find many valuable books that teach “how to” in general and lots of confusing websites, but you will find NOTHING specifically dedicated to the new age book market written from the perspectives of publishers, agents and the book sales team.

WPS_282196848.jpgMetaphysical, alternative healing and new age book proposals have unique requirements. Special instructions apply to these authors who seek to transform lives and are pitching their projects to a limited number of publishers. Proposals must be intriguing, articulate, elegant and compelling to make it through the acquisitions process. Even if you seek to find an agent, that agent will need an outstanding proposal to present to the right publishing house.

You don’t have to figure out how to write your proposal by yourself…there is an easier way! Now, after a combined four decades experience from virtually every angle of new age publishing, Ja-lene and Jo Ann have condensed their insider knowledge into a two-hour class with ebook.

They won't waste a moment of your valuable time! This class is set to teach you what you need to know to sell. You will understand what to avoid and what it takes to create a proposal that sells.

This two-hour class is filled with what you need to know to write a powerful proposal. Here are the highlights:

•    Most authors believe an editor will read your proposal and make the decision. Not true. Learn who reads proposals and how to appeal to that reader.
•    In what order the proposal is written and why.
•    The definition of a comparative title, how to choose the proper ones, and why it is important to compare your work to others.
•    The elements of a realistic and compelling marketing plan.
•    Why listing your current and future live teaching events with the number of attendees is critical.
•    What information should be in your bio and how to position your credentials and connections.
•    Why endorsements are critical and how to get them even when your book is not yet written.
•    The order in which a book synopsis should be written.
•    How a peek at your website can make or break the deal.
•    What your facebook page communicates about you.
•    How to decide if you should include the full manuscript or a sample chapter.
•    The appropriate time to use a quick reference “fact sheet” instead of a full proposal.
•    Overused metaphysical and new age buzz words that instantly turn off the publisher or diminish the value of what you offer.
•    How to rework tired sales promises.
•    Why pitching a book series or color project could get you an instant rejection.
•    The do’s and don’ts of proposal writing for previously self-published books.

The helpful guidance continues in the class ebook with 10 condensed sections geared to spiritual proposals and how to sell. The eBook includes the following:

Fact Sheet Example • Profile of a New Age or Metaphysical Author • The Proposal Checklist
• The Elements of a Powerful Proposal • Our Five Favorite New Age Publishers
• Tired Terms to Avoid • 15 Things You Must Have In Place to Approach a Major Publisher
• Ten Publishing Traps • Ten Reasons to Publish with a Traditional Publisher
• Five Best Ways to Market an Ebook •  Ten Reasons to do Ebooks while Waiting to be Published

This class is filled with industry insider information, instructions and a writing model you can duplicate when creating your proposal and is an extraordinary value at $100.00!

About the Teachers

Ja-lene Clark has an extensive background in traditional publishing and to date has produced over 140 titles. In 2006 Ja-lene left her post as associate publisher of Council Oak Books to follow her personal vision of empowering authors and media makers with her guidance. Utilizing her wealth of experience she served clients as collaborator to facilitate the development of book concepts, editing, packaging, production, marketing and distribution of multimedia content through the use of new emerging technologies, traditional outlets and alternative resources.

Jo Ann Deck has more than twenty years in sales and acquisitions at Ten Speed Press, one of the country's finest independent publishers, and publisher for the Celestial Arts and Crossing Press imprints. While helping bestselling authors like SARK and Cyndi Dale reach a wider audience with their works, she has watched editors and acquisition committees tear apart proposals and realized that a well-written proposal holds the key to a successful book.

In 2009 Ja-lene Clark and Jo Ann Deck formed a partnership to create Gather Insight.
