Occupy My Heart: A Call To Put Love In Action

Over these past weeks with the Occupy Wall Street and similar movements continuing to take place around the world, it is clear to me that humanity is passionately looking for new ways to be. During this extraordinary time, we each have the opportunity to act as “role-models” for all of humanity. The greatest way we can teach is by our Presence and by Example. It is said that Enlightened Beings are beings that practice Enlightened Action. This week I am shifting my focus from world finances into the ultimate Source of finances and All That Is. I am allowing the Source to “Occupy My Heart.” Occupy My Heart is an invitation for each of us to practice Enlightened Action and bring new energies into our own lives, and therefore, in the Collective Consciousness of Planet Earth.

Ultimately, LOVE is an action word. “Occupy My Heart” is about putting LOVE IN ACTION beginning with ourselves.

In the teachings of the East, it is said, "You Are Cause." At the level of the Macrocosm, this means that that we are the Ultimate Creative Principle. God dwells within you as You. Our Source and our Supply is not a government, nor a bank, nor an employer – it is the Divine Presence within each of us. It is up to us to remember and to practice the Great Truth that God dwells within the Human Heart. That’s why Occupy My Heart is such a powerful statement. It demonstrates our Awareness of the Power and Presence of God that dwells within.

At the level of the Microcosm, the Teaching, "You Are Cause," means that good or bad, right or wrong, whatever is going on in your life right now, you are ultimately the one who created it at the level of consciousness, and therefore, the one who is responsible for your own life's circumstances. Every single thought we think, every single word we speak, and every single action we take creates our reality. Through the Universal Law of Attraction, we attract people, places, things and circumstances that exactly mirror the vibration that we are putting out into the Universe. Like Attracts Like. When people initially discover this Truth, it can be somewhat overwhelming, because we have been trained to point our finger and to blame someone or something else. Doing so, however, puts us in the consciousness of being a victim and ultimately renders us powerless and at the effect of something outside of ourselves. It takes great Courage to accept responsibility for our lives. Now we can learn to live from the Heart without feeling guilty or making ourselves wrong. Guilt and blame ultimately get us nowhere other than back in the same low vibrations that do not ultimately serve our Highest and Greatest Good. Instead, in each and every Moment, we have the opportunity to live from the Heart and to treat ourselves and others with Love and Compassion – living a Heart-Centered Life. "Courage" has its root in the French word "cour" which means "heart." Therefore, when we are courageous, we are living from the Heart – the center of our Being – both physically and metaphysically Occupying Our Heart.

Once you realize and accept that You Are Cause, you can begin to practice a second powerful Teaching: "You Are The Answer." At the level of the Macrocosm, not only are you the Ultimate Creative Principle, but you are also the Creation Itself. In the Teachings and Traditions of the East, it is said, "There is no space in the Universe, not even one fraction of an inch, where God is not." God is All-Pervasive. Therefore, the Answer is not separate from You. In fact, Cause and the Answer are one and the same.

At the level of the Microcosm, "You Are the Answer" means that whatever we have created in our lives to date, either individually or collectively as a society, we have the ability to create something new, different and more in alignment with our Highest and Greatest Good. Now that's pretty magnificent! Within us dwells the same Creative Principle that forged the Universe. We can consciously use that Principle to create our own universe through the power of our thoughts, words and actions.*

Below are some practices I use to Occupy My Heart. I invite you to join me and to share these teachings with others.

Occupy My Heart: Call To Action

OMH_733247770.jpg1. Know That God Is In Your Heart – Become Firmly Established In Your Own Inner Light  Spend at least five minutes every single day sitting in Silence feeling and experiencing your connection to the God of your Heart. What is God sharing with you today? In the Teachings and Traditions of the East, it is said that there is a bright blue Windless Flame that dwells within the human heart. This Flame is God Itself. Visualize, connect, meditate and receive while gazing into the Flame in your Heart. Know THOU ART THAT.

2. Know That You Are Held In the Heart of God – Experience the Supportive All-Pervasive Presence of the Divine
As you spend time connecting with the Windless Flame in your Heart, visualize a picture of you inside of the Windless Flame and feel the Windless Flame expand out to encompass your entire physical body from the top of your head to the tip of your toes. What sensations does the invisible, supportive Presence of the Divine bring to you?  Feel the supportive, All-Pervasive Power of the Divine and know that that power is always leading you in the direction of growth and empowerment – even if at first it doesn't seem like it. You are never alone and you do not have to make this journey of life alone. You are Divinely Supported in all that you do. God is in your Heart and you are in the Heart of God.

3. Spend Five Minutes Counting Your Blessings
In the teachings of the East, it is said, "Gratitude is the key to prosperity." What are you grateful for? By focusing on the things we are grateful for, those things begin to multiply. Begin by contemplating even the simplest things that you might take for granted. For example, you might say “Thank you for the gift of the sunrise and the dawning of a New Day. Thank you for the comfortable bed I slept in last night. Thank you for the soft pillow that cradled my head. Thank you for the soft and warm blanket that covered me while I slept. Thank you for the delicious fruit I enjoyed for breakfast. Thank you for the gift of another day of life.”

4. Spend Five Minutes Consciously Creating  What is in your heart?  While in the energy of gratitude, give thanks for the things in your life that you would like to create as if they have already happened. You can include visions for yourself and others.  For example, you might visualize or say: "I am grateful to live in a Universe of Abundance. I am grateful that people of Planet Earth realize their Power as Creators and create a world of peace, joy, harmony and enlightened action. My Beingness, thoughts, words and actions are a loving contribution to Planet Earth. Thank you for a world where people can express their hearts through work they love to do. Thank you for prospering my own life with a plentiful flow and supply of all I need."

5. Practice These Exercises Every Day & Share Them With Others  I invite you to make a commitment to work with these exercises for a minimum of 28 days and invite others to share this experience with you. By Occupying Our Hearts through the practice of Enlightened Action, we begin to create the world of dreams.

I invite you to share your own thoughts and experiences with me online. Use the Ask a Messenger feature on this page to share your insights with me.
