What is Gather Insight?
Gather Insight is an online publishing and teaching forum dedicated to delivering ancient wisdom made contemporary, new and accessible. Our most recent publications are Light Language by Starr Fuentes, No Teaching Yoga by Melissa Forbes and My Angel Connection by Rev. What Makes Gather Insight Books Different?
Activated by a vision grounded through four decades of shared experience, Ja-lene Clark and Jo Ann Deck created Gather Insight, a non-traditional online publishing community for spiritual teachers. Gather Insight offers a new paradigm for the publishing company of the future. Our books are sold on Gather Insight in a harmonious environment conducive to the advanced teachings offered by our Messengers.

Think of Gather Insight as an “organic producer of spiritually-nurturing books” rather than just another publisher that prints and warehouses thousands of books that they hope will find their way to the consumer. Organic farmers grow wonderful, healthy, nurturing foods without using pesticides and other processes that harm our earth.  Like the organic farmer, at Gather Insight we offer an environmentally friendly, no-waste model for publishing. The digital files for our books are kept in a master system with our exclusive print/distribution partner. When a customer places an order, one-at-a-time, our beautiful and unique books are lovingly printed, carefully packaged to avoid damage when shipping, and sent to our international base of customers in 3-5 days (can be up to 7 days during the Christmas holiday season.)

Why Doesn’t Gather Insight Sell at Other Bookstores or Other Online Sites?
In the glory days of publishing, bookstores offered book signings so that readers could meet and get to know authors. With fewer book signings today, opportunities for authors to meet their readers were missing. At Gather Insight we wanted to address this challenge by creating a space for our Messengers to meet the people who are interested in their work and have accomplished this through our free events in the Gathering Place. Providing an environment for readers and Messengers to interact is our motivation and the reason that Gather Insight acts as its own bookstore. Selling to other bookstores also requires special terms such as discounts and return privileges that don’t fit with our environmentally-friendly, waste-free publishing model. Selling to other online sites often requires paying special fees for preferred placement. In addition, many of our Messengers are working with advanced concepts, some so advanced that we would have to soften the material if it were to be considered by traditional bookstores. We also considered it likely that our books would be overshadowed on websites with a multitude of categories and titles.

At Gather Insight, we believe in the Law of Group Endeavor. Our Messengers prefer to showcase their work with like-minded authors in an environment of honor and mutual respect.  Our Messengers often act like a family working together on classes and events. In addition, the Gather Insight program allows our Messengers and visitors the opportunity to create teacher/student relationships and interact together in a manner that is not possible on other online bookstore websites.

Why Do Gather Insight Books Seem More Expensive than Books on Other Online Sites?
Gather Insight books are spiritual textbooks. College textbooks are more expensive because they are specialized, require more research, and are frequently printed in low numbers. Just as college textbooks often have higher price points that reflect the depth and credentials of academic contributors, Gather Insight books contain much beyond the words on the pages.  The spiritual downloads and detailed knowledge reflect decades of study and life experience from our Messengers. The higher prices for Gather Insight books allow us to offer proper remuneration to our Messengers who have dedicated their lives to transformative studies. The price points also reflect the higher unit cost we pay per book to produce our work in a manner that is earth-friendly. Simply stated, the prices for Gather Insight books honor the Messengers and their teachings and are the appropriate prices for our publishing model.

Many trade publishers mass produce books to keep low prices and create environmental waste. At Gather Insight, we only consume exactly what is ordered.

Other Online Companies Seem to Offer Cheaper Shipping. Why Don’t You?
Large online bookstores receive preferential treatment and have access to special freight deals. Gather Insight is growing, however at this time we do not receive the same special shipping incentive discount deals and therefore cannot pass savings to our customers because there is none. Our processing and shipping charges for our customers are flat rates that are usually a few dollars lower than the actual costs we incur. We ship from our printer throughout the US mainland by UPS ground or FedEx ground with delivery depending on location in 1 to 5 business days. For foreign orders, shipping time varies based on the delivery location.  We ship all foreign order by USPS International Express with flat rates and average shipping times are 3-5 business days.

We thank our all visitors from 132 countries for their support. Our messengers recognize that many people spend hundreds of dollars to travel to study with them and thus the combined Gather Insight book and shipping price remains a very good value.
